Tutorials

Short screen recordings for generating, editing, chat, and MCP.

Getting started

Download Palmier Pro for macOS 26 (Tahoe) or later. No account is required to use the editor or MCP.

  1. Install the app and open a new or existing project.
  2. Generate media or import footage into your library.
  3. Build your edit on the timeline, then export when you are ready.

The tutorials below walk through each step with short screen recordings.

Generate images and audio

Generate images, video, and audio from the media panel.
  • Pick a model and write a prompt for the look or sound you want.
  • Organize generations into folders inside your project library.

Generation uses credits on paid plans. Editing and export stay free.

Generate video on the timeline

Generate video with first and last frame control.
  • Pick the model that fits your shot, then set resolution, duration, and aspect ratio.
  • Use first and last frames to lock the opening and closing of a clip.
  • Add reference images when you need style or subject consistency.
  • Regenerate and swap clips on the timeline without leaving the project.

AI edits native to the timeline

Click a clip to edit it, or double-click to open the source footage.
  • Click any clip (AI or imported) to upscale or AI edit it without leaving the timeline.
  • On AI-generated clips, rerun with the same prompt or tweak the prompt and generate a variation.
  • Double-click to open the source footage in the viewer.
  • Inspect the prompt, first frame, last frame, and references used for any generation.

Palmier AI assistant

Use Palmier chat to generate and edit in context.
  • Describe the shot or edit you want in plain language.
  • Use @ to reference a specific image when you want chat to match a look, subject, or frame.
  • Chat can generate assets and place them on the timeline.
  • Iterate on prompts and timing without leaving the project.

Connect your agent

Connect Claude (or another agent) via MCP.
  • The agent can generate images, video, and audio and place them directly on the timeline.
  • The agent can trim, split, reorder, and adjust clips — it sees your full project context.
  • The agent can rerun or tweak AI-generated clips by prompt, just like you would in the app.

Open Help → MCP Instructions in the app for setup steps and one-click install for Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, and Claude Desktop.

Export

  • MP4 (H.264, H.265, ProRes)
  • NLE XML for Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve
