The vision
Code repositories were built for humans to understand and collaborate on code. But soon, they’ll be used primarily by AIs working on our behalf. As this shift happens, the structure and processes around code must evolve.
At Palmier, we’re building a new kind of code repository designed for AIs. Every line of code has a history behind it, and we’re making that history accessible for AIs to create more efficient and reliable code, aligned with human intention.
Our first product helps developers work seamlessly with AI, improving efficiency. We aim to provide an API for any AI to interact with, giving it the information needed to produce better quality code.
A closer look at the team behind Palmier.
Marcos (CEO, left) and Harrison (CTO, right) met as project partners in a computer science class at UC Berkeley. They both graduated with degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
Marcos worked as a distributed systems infrastructure engineer at LinkedIn, optimizing LinkedIn’s core infra layer to save millions of dollars in compute cost and helped LinkedIn scale their infra to handle a billion users.
Harrison worked at as a backend engineer at Microsoft, helping large companies like Dick’s Sporting Goods onboard Kubernetes infrastructure on the edge.
Frustrated by the outputs of AI coding tools, they realized that if only they had the context necessary, they would produce vastly better results. Current repositories weren’t designed for storing this type of metadata, so they created Palmier, the first AI native code repository.
